Our Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of The Grove Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
One True God
There is one sovereign, holy, righteous, just God over the entire universe, eternally existing as three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — one in essence, yet distinct in their works.

The Holy Scriptures
The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, inerrant Word of God — the supreme and final authority on all matters about which they speak.

The Person and Work of Jesus
The Lord Jesus, the eternal Son of God, became man, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice, and rose literally from the dead. He is now exalted at the right hand of the Father and will return physically and gloriously.

The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is equally God, lives in all believers as a seal of salvation, convicts the world of sin, illuminates Scripture, gives spiritual gifts, and empowers the church to be witnesses.

The Nature of Humanity
Every person is created in the image of God; human life is sacred. Through Adam’s sin, humanity inherited a sinful nature and cannot without God’s grace regain relationship with Him.

Sexuality and Marriage
God created people male and female as a good and unchangeable gift. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman; sexual intimacy is designed for marriage alone.

Salvation by Grace
Salvation is a gift of God received through personal faith in Jesus Christ. Those who trust in Him are forgiven, credited with His righteousness, and declared children of God.

The Resurrection
Every person will be bodily resurrected. Those who trusted in Christ will enjoy eternal life with God; those who rejected Him will experience eternal separation from God.

Church
The Church is the Bride and Body of Christ, governed by male elders, called to celebrate the living God, cultivate growth in Christ, love one another, and communicate Christ to the world.

Baptism and the Lord's Supper
Baptism is a public declaration of faith in Christ, symbolizing death to the old life and new life in Him. The Lord’s Supper is practiced in remembrance of His death and in anticipation of His return.

Baptism
Baptism is a public declaration of faith in Christ—a symbol of dying to your old life and rising to new life in Him. We love celebrating this step of obedience! If you believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead, and you've put your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to be baptized during a weekend gathering (Romans 6:3-4, 10:9-10).
